More than 30 years ago, when the internet—then known as ARPANET and powered by TCP/IP—was still being developed in computer science labs and largely funded by the U.S. government, our team was already immersed in its evolution through local colleges and service in the U.S. Army.
By 1990, ARPANET was decommissioned, and by 1995, the modern internet entered a period of rapid commercialization. In the late 1990s, five engineers—colleagues at a large-scale national call center—founded Data Core Technologies (DCT) in South Florida. With advanced degrees and certifications in information technology, large-scale voice systems, internet programming, and advertising, they built a company focused on delivering comprehensive technology solutions.
DCT’s early services included computer installation, network design and programming, hardware integration, structured wiring, and website development with advertising support. As the digital landscape evolved, so did our focus. By the early 2000s, we shifted primarily to website design, development, and online marketing.
